Prayer Song

I pray and pray and pray

every minute, every hour, every day.

I give thanks, I give praise for all

Why does He not hear my call?.

I've been praying for a year, or two or ten

For the same thing over and over again.

Is He deaf? is He busy? Does He not care for me?

When is He going to pluck me from this stormy sea?

Then a voice....

Oh, you fool, of little faith

Are you on the narrow and straight?

Have you done what's been written down

Or do you just like to sulk and frown?

Don't you think I know what's right?

I'm the one who brought you to light

My love for you knows no limit

That's why I left you with the Holy Spirit

When you pray can you hear my Voice?

I gave you the freedom to make a choice

Are there certain things that you can do?

If so don't expect me to do those for you

You see if you don't cooperate

You will 'cause someone else to wait

So please be ready to say yes
