A tear from Mary is all it took

It was January 2007,

The place Rome, Italy
The scene; a room where we see a thirty-five year old woman laying on a padded massage table her arms and legs held by two men. Nearby are a man and woman ready to intervene if needed. The exorcist is standing only a few feet away with crucifix in one hand and a canister of holy water in the other. The exorcism has been going on for almost one hour and the strain is visible on the faces of all in the room.

Suddenly the woman starts to see in succession three people enter the room and from her description or code the exorcist recognizes them as St. Gemma of Galgani, Mother Theresa of Calcutta and Pope John Paul II. The demon rebells, mocks and swears at the three figures, yelling at them to go away.

“I order you, in the name of the Immaculate Virgin Mary and in the name of Jesus Christ, to repeat those words, (Eternal Father, you are my Creator and I adore you)” the priest commanded again. All at once, the woman felt awash in an incredible feeling of love as the veiled figure of Mary appeared before her, wrapped in a gold-and-white veil that covered half her face. Watching in amazement as the figure approached, the woman was even more surprised to see that Mary was gazing at her tearfully. As the exorcist watched, the demon once again went into a fit. “No, no, no, don't cry!” he screamed, and the woman's body practically convulsed. Then for an instant the woman snapped out of the trance, saying, “A tear from Mary is all it took,” before falling back into the state. The exorcist was elated to know that Mary was present and helping. He instantly launched into a Hail Mary everyone in the room joined in, even the woman on the table.

It took a little bit longer for the devil to finally leave the woman, but the turning point was the appearance of the Blessed Mother – “A tear from Mary is all it took.”

The above was taken from the book, The RITE, The Making of a Modern Day Exorcist by Matt Baglio

In an interview, the world’s most renowned exorcist, Fr. Amorth (not the exorcist mentioned in  the book above), when asked, "Were you scared of the Devil?" Answered;

'Of course, but I also knew that Jesus had beaten Satan and the Virgin had crushed him. So I put myself under the protection of both Jesus and Mary. 'Wrap me in your cloak,' I said to the Virgin, 'and I will always feel safe.' And in fact, over the years I have performed over 70,000 exorcisms and nothing has ever happened to me.'

If this man has been helped over 70,000 times by Mary why would we ever hesitate to call on her for help?

Below is a short video and prayer to Our Blessed Mother
