Follow the steps of good men instead,
and stay on the paths of the righteous. ~Proverbs 2:20
The Lord leads us to the paths of righteousness. As we listen and pray He will give us the wisdom to choose the right path.
Psalm 111:10 tells us, “The way to become wise is to have reverence for the Lord; he gives sound judgment to all who obey his commands. He is to be praised forever.”
It is through the Holy Spirit that we gain wisdom and we hear that in Ephesians 1:17 where St. Paul prays; “..and ask the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, to give you the Spirit, who will make you wise and reveal God to you, so that you will know him.”
Beware of life's pitfalls and choose wisely of the ones you follow because there are many false prophets. Too many have fallen to abyss of addictive behavior. Once you have found the right path stay focused and be careful that you do not act like the, “pig that has been washed and goes back to roll in the mud.”
Follow the advise of 2 Peter 3:18, “... continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory, now and forever! Amen.
Thank you, Jesus, for modeling true manhood for me. Give me courage and strength to be a real man of God in how I think and act.
